What a great evening with Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick
"I graduated from high school and Pine knob opened the year I grew up in Pontiac. In the 70’s, I saw many concerts there but hadn’t been back there in 45 years. Basically a very fun place to see a concert, Pine knob was a little different in the 2026’s. We sat in the lawn which still gave us a good view of the stage and the Jumbotron helped to see close up. We loved the fact that although it was crowded, we didn’t wait in line for concessions or the bathrooms. The process for getting into the venue went smoothly. I thought I only knew one Cheap Trick song but I know 4 that they performed and I enjoyed the others they performed. After a 20 minute intermission, Rod Stewart performed for 2 hours and he was just awesome. They played for an hour. Hard to believe he’s 77 years old. He was very active on the stage and we loved hearing his big hits as well as the great job he and his band did with the songs they covered. Just a very enjoyable and fun night. I especially liked the way he featured the musicians who played violins, harp, saxophone, drums."
